Building a Better Habitat for Your Herd
A Whole Habitat Approach
At Oak Ridge Habitat Solutions, we believe in taking a holistic approach with your property. To improve your herd and the overall health of your land we take the habitat of your entire property into consideration.
Our habitat assessments are built around your land, your goals, and the opportunities already present on your property.
A Plan Built For Your Property
We specialize in a broad array of habitat types, allowing us to make management plans tailored to your properties exact needs. We work on old fields, prairies, forests, and food plots. Any habitat you may find on your property, we can manage. Through habitat management and direct hunting related services like blind and stand placements, we identify practical ways to improve your property and your hunting oppurtunities.
Make Your Property Stand Out
You don't need thousands of acres to create a property deer want to use. Thoughtful improvements throughout a property can make a significant difference in how wildlife interacts with the landscape.
That's why we look beyond individual projects. We want to identify the improvements that work together to make your property more attractive, more functional, and more huntable.
Our goal is simple: help your property stand out from your neighbors.
Oak Ridge Habitat Solutions Founder:
Lee Mitchell is a veteran public-land bowhunter who began hunting whitetails at 12 years old. Since then he has garnered over 43 years of hunting experience, utilizing a mobile hunting style with an emphasis on knowing the habitat he is hunting on to harvest deer.
From a young age Lee knew that he wanted to spend his career working with wildlife. To achieve this goal he obtained a bachelors in forestry from Stephen F. Austen University and a Masters from Georgia Southern. After graduating Lee has spent the last 30 years working for the Department of the Army as a wildlife biologist.
Years of wildlife and habitat management led him to start Oak Ridge Habitat Solutions in 2009 aimed primarily at whitetail deer. Since then he has worked with many landowners to help them achieve their habitat and hunting goals with clients taking numerous Pope and Young and Boone and Crockett class bucks (His dog is even named Boone). With one client taking four 200” bucks since he began working with him.
After more than four decades chasing big whitetails and working with everything habitat, he has learned what it takes to consistently produce and harvest mature whitetails.
